You may therefore find six to seven trains from Bangalore (Krishnarajapuram, Bangalore City, and Yesvantpur stations) to Kadur, the majority of which will cover the distance of around 200 KM in three to four hours assuming you are alright with travelling by road from Kadur to Chikmagalur. Nearest Railway Station: Kadur (code name DRU), which is located about 40 KM away from Chikmagalur and is close to the main city area, is the closest railway station.

The Chikmagalur bus stand is not far from the adjacent train station. From there, take a bus or another mode of transportation.
